The Paul K. Kessell Resource Center

 What is the Resource Center?

The Resource Center is a lending library supporting the Boise, Kendall and Eastern Oregon Presbyteries.  The Resource Center offers books, magazines, videos, and DVD for personal use and to support classes at your church. 

Bible study kits are available on a variety of topics and can be borrowed for an extended period of time. Many of the kits have video or DVD's to view, along with supporting leader and student guides.

Many materials are available for training and reference and can be useful for many session committees. 

We offer materials for youth groups, retreat planning, personal spiritual growth, Bible study classes and any other purpose you can imagine.

 How do I use use the Resource Center?

• use the shelf list posted at the right to search for materials
• stop by Monday or Wednesday from 8:30 - 1:30 or by appointment
• e-mail or call to request materials - I would be happy to research and recommend resources
• resources can be mailed, or in some cases, delivered to you or your church (simply return them by mail when you are finished with them)

Where does the Name Paul K. Kessell come from?

     The Resource Center is named in memory of The Reverend Paul K. Kessell 1945-1986. Paul K. Kessell was a Parish Ministry consultant for the Snake River Mission Area and Synod of the Pacific.  Always an advocate for the practitioner of Christian education, he served the church in many capacities.  He was a member of the Design Team for the Presbyterian and Reformed Educational Ministry, and served on the governing board of the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators and the Advisory Board for Monday Morning.

     Paul's colleagues in educational ministry remember with affection and gratitude his friendship, counsel, wisdom.

Shared Ministry and the Resource Center are making plans to become more technology based. 

We are hoping to pass on new information to our congregations regarding technology use in our churches. 

In addition, we are hoping to strengthen our communication regarding events and educational opportunities available here in our Presbyteries.
