       Enrichment Scholarship!  Available through 2011

Purpose of Scholarship:

The Enrichment Scholarship is to encourage the participation of lay persons in educational opportunities that will enhance the ministry of local churches and Presbyteries.  Shared Ministry’s goal is to provide, and support training for individuals within the three Presbyteries of Eastern Oregon, Boise and Kendall for the benefit of the Church.   This scholarship is for Presbyterian sponsored or co-sponsored conferences and is valued at up to 50% of the cost of the conference, not to exceed $500 for the event.

Who is eligible?

Lay Persons and CLP’s who are wishing to develop their spirituality and leadership skills to better serve in their congregations.

Applicant must be affiliated with a Presbyterian Church of Eastern Oregon, Boise, and Kendall Presbytery

Enrichment Scholarship Description & Application

Criteria:

Complete all portions of scholarship application

• Attach conference brochure or include a web link to conference information page.
• To demonstrate the value of your attendance at the scholarship event, we ask for a report to the Shared Ministry Board.

Applicants will be notified of scholarship money awarded or denied within two weeks of the Shared Ministry office receiving the application. 

Scholarship money will be paid to recipient following the conference once attendance has been verified.

Money allowed for mileage is based on 1/2 of the federal rate per mile.

Limited funding is available

Anyone interested is invited to go to the Shared Ministry website at www.presbysharedministry.org and view suggested conferences under Events.  Those posted are only a sampling of the conferences that may qualify for the Enrichment Scholarship.
